Super-elastic Signal Stick: SMA female

Please select the frequencies and color that you want below — the “classic” signal stick is “Dual Band” and “Black”.

PLEASE check the connector against the pictures before ordering — many people mix up connector types and genders!

Note: Some radios have an abnormally shallow SMA connector on them which leaves a gap between the radio and the antenna. You can add on a spacer to fill that gap if your radio has that issue. Note that this is very uncommon for radios which require an SMA-F connector.

Connector: SMA Female

Please look at the images to make sure you have the correct connector! We usually have two or three orders per month that are sent back because the customer mixed up male vs female (the gender is determined by the center conductor, not by the threads!).

These are hand-made, ultra lightweight, and nearly indestructible antennas which outperform the stock antenna your handheld radio came with by a significant margin. Originally designed to use as a fundraiser for a youth group, sales from these remarkable antennas now provide funding for HamStudy, ExamTools, and other initiatives which help support the Amateur Radio community.

All Signal Sticks are hand made; if you are looking for perfection in aesthetics then these may not be for you, but our design is continually evolving in order to provide better looking, better functioning, and above all more durable antennas.

The SMA-Female connector fits:

See Ham Radio School’s What’s that connector on my HT?. If the center conductor on the SMA connector on your radio is a socket, this is for you.

    Impressive antenna.

  2. Shannon (verified owner)

Love this antenna! Roll it up for transport then let it go for working those stations. I’ve had a pair on my two Boafeng 5R for over 4 years now. Coming back to buy another one for my new Baofeng F8.

  3. Matthew C.

This antenna is awesome first of all. Extremely flexible, able to be bended and rolled up and placed in a pocket just like the pictures show without getting deformed at all and then opened up in a second when it is needed. Also the warranty and customer service is excellent. I emailed Richard about the antenna starting to rotate inside the base a little bit and he said they had some issues with older epoxy failing and had since fixed this issue. He offered to replace it for me at no extra cost. I sent him the old one and he sent me a brand new one very quickly. I highly recommend this website and the antenna.

Received order quickly. Awesome antenna! Supports a good cause too!!

  5. Steve (verified owner)

Really like this antenna. When I’m talking on my HT, many will say that the signal they receive is excellent!

  6. Greg B (verified owner)

A big improvement over the stock antenna (which isn’t too bad itself) on my Btech DMR 6×2. Very happy with this purchase.

  7. Thomas McAuley

While I can’t say it definitevly performs any better than any other handheld antenna I’ve tried yet, its super lightweight and portable form factor very quickly made this my favorite antenna to have on my radio. Plus, the glow in the dark is a world of fun. Highly recommended, I honestly don’t think you can find a nicer antenna, the build quality is phenomenal. Though, if you hike a lot in the winter months, you might want a backup antenna, as this one definitely gets a little “limp noodle-y” in the cold and doesn’t receive the best, but it’s still my favorite antenna by far! Thanks for making these wonderful things for the community!

  8. BRADLEY ROBINSON (verified owner)

I have 3 signal sticks. They work downright awesomely. For the price, nothing beats it. At any price. 100% happy. Im hitting repeaters over 5mi away inside my home on less than 5w power. Plainly put, the antenna frigging works.
